Q3 Demos to Movies Tutorial

This is a simple tutorial telling you newbies how to make movies from your q3 demos. Make sure you have proper Quake 3 and Modification versions to match the demos you want to rip from.

First download movie.cfg (you'll have to save as cfg)
Making footage from bad graphics is a stupid idea, so run with slightly above average lighting and picmip 0
Once you're ready load up your Demos and exec movie.cfg, You might want to open up movie.cfg in notepad first and write down some of the commands (descriptions included within)
F6 will take 30 snapshots per second
Once you have all the material you desire recorded with snapshots use Platypus Animator + utilities
under options you can set video encoder. I recommend microsoft video 1 or divx 4.11
goto File>Import Images then goto your Quake3/subdir/screenshots/ directory and select the images you want to become a movie.
TIP! import 2000 bmps at once to scroll through and write down between exactly which frames you want to use for clips. 2000 is the max.
under file is "creatve avi file" or something similar (import images and create avi are shortcuts on the toolbar also). DO IT and you got a movie. booya
